Most sisters experience some sort of rivalry in their lives. Whether the argument is over parental attention, marks in school, or a boyfriend, ask any sister and she will tell you that she has needed her space—even from her twin. This is not so for Australian twin sisters Lucy and Anna DeCinque, 28, who had plastic surgery to take sisterhood to a whole new level.
Plastic Surgery
In order to age in the exact same way, Lucy and Anna DeCinque had plastic surgery together. Some of the operations the women underwent include breast augmentation and lip filling procedures. The sisters, who were born identical twins to begin with, did not stop there. They also had their eyebrows tattooed to look like facsimiles of one another. Their first operation, their breast implants, was inspired by celebrity Kim Kardashian, who the twins admired. Of the operation, Anna says, “We had seen Kim’s cleavage on TV and in the magazines and we liked it.” She went on to say that the pair do not regret their surgery.
Boyfriend
Although the sharing of exact facial features is an interesting and unique feature about the DeCinque twins, perhaps the most taboo thing that the twins share is their boyfriend. Twin Lucy maintains that if they share the exact same taste in everything else, they would obviously wish to have the same boyfriend as well. The twins receive many invitations from men who find them attractive and would enjoy the prospect of having two girlfriends or two wives. Lucy DeCinque explains that they fulfill the desires of many men, saying, “For guys, in their dreams, they want two girlfriends.”
Ongoing Procedures
The twins have not always appeared exactly the same. One photo from The Sun depicts them with slightly different haircuts and different colored shirts. Another from just a few short years ago shows them wearing different colored dresses. That, however, is in the past. Today the twins have spent at least $200,000 on procedures to stay both similar as well as young. Some of their weekly beauty treatments include infrared saunas, skin peels, and microdermabrasion. The sisters explain that they like looking after themselves, and Anna added, “What girl doesn’t?”
Share and Share Alike
In addition to their boyfriend, the twins share everything else in their lives. They work at the same job, where they split both hours and salary caring for the elderly. The women split a wardrobe that consists of an endless array of outfits, as they refuse to be seen going out in the same outfit twice. Aside from the same cell phone and Facebook account, Lucy and Anna also sleep in the same bed together. The women say that they cannot imagine spending a day without one another’s company, and that they could not get any closer.
As unique as the DeCinque twins’ situation is, the duo still share many of the qualities that typical identical twins report having, such as sensing one another’s pain. The twins reside in the city of Perth, located in Western Australia.
