On October 17th, 2018, the Educational and Research Foundation of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery honored Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel with the F. Mark Rafaty Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The honor was bestowed at the 12th International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the world’s largest specialty association for facial plastic surgery. It represents more than 2,500 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world. The AAFPRS is a National Medical Specialty Society of the American Medical Association (AMA. AAFPRS members are board certified surgeons whose focus is surgery of the face, head, and neck.
Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel is a double board-certified plastic surgeon who performs over 1200 procedures each year and has been recognized by colleagues and the media as an expert in complex facial surgery. Chosen as one of the 10 best physicians in Massachusetts, he was also recently selected as a finalist in two categories for the 2018 MyFaceMyBody awards – Plastic Surgeon of the Year – Male – Northeast and Makeover of the Year – Surgical. The winners will be announced in November 2018. Dr. Spiegel is national known for his expertise and innovations in facial feminization surgery.
