Advice is cheap and everybody’s got some to give. Ask a friend, relative, or stranger about anything and they’ll all have an opinion on what you should do. Likely, the advice will be contradictory so you leave with less clarity than before your inquiries.
Advice can be helpful, mentoring can be valuable, guidance can be wonderful but ultimately you know what’s best for you. Have you ever seen a movie and loved it but your friends thought it was the worst thing ever? You may think to yourself, “there’s no accounting for taste” but inside you wonder how they can’t appreciate such a wonderful film.
It’s the same thing with plastic surgery. You can ask your friends, spouse, and confidants if you should get it. Your good friends may say no, of course not. So, why the difference of opinion.
It’s because they’re not you and people have different potentials. You may look exactly the way they wish to look, but you know you can achieve even more. In the 1980’s the US Army had a slogan that reminded each person to “Be all you can be”. Michael Phelps would have made a big mistake if he decided to swim as well as I can. He needed to be the best he could be.
Plastic surgery allows us to realize our dreams. There’s an old saying that says with plastic surgery you come as you are and leave as you wish. With one life to live, being who you want to be and all you can be is a wonderful opportunity.
