You have things you want to do, and things you need to do, and yet, you don’t do them. That’s just like everybody else! But, some things get done and others don’t. Why? Getting things done is influenced by your motivation, ability, and then a trigger or prompt. This was studied, and graphed, by Dr. BJ Fogg and is known as the Fogg Behavior Model.
If you have high ability to do something, but low motivation to do it, you’ll likely still do it when prompted because it’s easy for you. An example? Washing that dirty dish in the sink. You don’t want to do it, but you easily can, so, when you see it sitting there (the prompt), you get it done.
Some things are in the middle. Say, for many, exercise. You have some motivation to do it (but you’d rather watch Netflix). You have some ability to do it, but you’re not a super athlete. To get to the action line in our graph below, requires a strong prompt. That’s why you set your alarm to go to the gym, or, find a friend who calls you and says, “it’s time to go.”
So, what about looking good? You undoubtedly have high motivation to look your best (why else would you be here reading this?). Now, all you need is the ability to do it, and a prompt.
That’s where we come in. We’ve got the materials, facility, technology, expertise, and experience to help you achieve your goals. Ability? Check.
Now you just need a prompt!
