For quite some time the baby boomer generation was the king of plastic surgery but recently the trends in the business might be starting to shift into the other direction. With more information starting to make waves regarding plastic surgery and safety aspects that surround it more young professionals are turning towards a variety of procedures.
In a recent Fox News Business Article:
“According to a study by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), adults between the ages of 31 and 45 accounted for 43% of all cosmetic procedures in 2010, while baby boomers (ages of 51 and 64), made up just 28%.“
It is interesting to see these figures because typically baby boomers are the ones that have been stock piling their savings accounts for many years giving them the opportunity to really invest in plastic surgery treatments and procedures.
“I think the desire to look better for both personal and professional reasons is more prominent for Generation X. “But I do see baby boomers who had to go look for jobs and wanted to do something they thought would help make them more competitive in the workplace.”
