Recently, we safely completed surgery on the 1000th patient at The Spiegel Center surgery center, Newton Surgery. Sounds like a big number, right? Well, it is. And there’s a lot behind it.
Our surgery center has three fully equipped operating rooms. That’s the same number as many community hospitals around the country. Within these operating rooms, we offer several different types of anesthesia, including local, regional, twilight sedation, and full general anesthesia. We can do procedures ranging from 8 minutes to 8 hours. We do facelifts, rhinoplasties, tummy tucks, breast implants, liposuction, cranial surgery, bone shaping, jaw surgery, eyelid lifts, and more. We do extremely delicate surgery with the use of a high-power microscope such as nerve repairs and voice surgery. We do surgery through tiny incisions using telescopes and video equipment such as endoscopic brow surgery and voice box (Adam’s apple) reduction.
Our surgery center has a flawless record of safety and accreditation by the AAAASF (Quad A) one of the most stringent organizations for assuring a high-quality surgical facility. This means that we get regular inspections by the country’s top OR inspection team who check every aspect of the operation to make sure that your procedures go flawlessly. You can read more about them at QuadA.org.
Most of the one thousand patients had more than one procedure. Many people who see us have multiple areas addressed simultaneously. That may mean a tummy tuck with breast lift, or a facelift with lip lift and eyelid lifts. Or, it could be a scalp advancement, brow lift, forehead reshaping, rhinoplasty, cheek implants, lip lift, chin, and jaw contouring, tracheal shave, and breast implants all at once. That means these 1000 patients had well over 5000 surgeries.
Newton Surgery has become a regional destination for plastic surgery with not only patients traveling to use the facility, but also affiliate plastic surgeons traveling. We have surgeons who come far to bring their patients to Newton Surgery to ensure their patients have the nicest and safest experience. To date, surgeons from more than seven plastic surgery practices choose to operate at Newton Surgery, with more requesting to come.
Our full-time team of nurses, technicians, schedulers, and other staff are dedicated to their important work, and, we are proud to work with the highest quality anesthesia professionals from Icon Anesthesia (iconanesthesia.com). The entrance to the facility is through a door out of sight of the road for patient privacy. Many people are concerned about nausea after surgery. We get it! We’ve selected a specific type of anesthesia called TIVA where more expensive medications are used rather than inhaled anesthetic gasses. This removes a lot of the after-effects of traditional general anesthesia, so you should feel relaxed and peaceful after your procedure. Our OR team will stay in contact with your family, friend, nurse, or whomever you designate as your primary caregiver in order to keep them updated about your experience.
By the time you’re reading this, we’ve already well surpassed 1000 patients and are proud to continue to provide the safest and most friendly, discreet, and comfortable environment for you. To learn more about our surgery center visit NewtonSurgery.com.
