Have you ever dreamed of having dimples? If so, check out one of the most popular cosmetic procedures now being offered – dimples surgery. Dimples plastic surgery is surprisingly easy, with incredibly cute results and very minor side effects. Having subtle dimples can make your face more memorable and attractive while still maintaining a very natural look.

How Dimples Surgery is Performed

Getting dimples is extremely easy, and is considered a routine in-office procedure. You do not need general anaesthesia, which greatly reduces any risks associated with dimples plastic surgery. The cheeks are numbed in much the same way as a dentist working on your teeth would numb the area before getting to work. Small incisions are then made to the inside of the cheeks. Sutures are then made to stitch the desired dimple into place. The amount of suturing required varies greatly from patient to patient depending on the strength and thickness of their cheek muscles. Once the sutures are complete, the procedure is over, and you are free to go home and resume your normal activities.

Results

The results of the dimple procedure are visible immediately. It is important to note that the immediate results may be slightly exaggerated. The sutures are used to help the cheek tissue heal into place surrounding the dimple. Over time, the dimpled area itself will soften. This will give you a more natural appearing dimple in just a few short weeks of time. Having natural looking and attractive dimples is finally something that you don’t have to be born with. Ensure that you find a certified and experienced plastic surgeon to do the procedure for the best possible results. Make sure that you discuss the desired results and what you can expect from the surgery before beginning.

Recovery

As with any surgery or procedure performed, there is a recovery period necessary following dimples plastic surgery. It is completely normal after surgery for the cheek area surrounding the dimples to feel tight. This feeling of tightness will loosen up over time as the tissues heal from the incisions. Within 2 or 3 weeks, the tight feeling will be completely gone. Some patients experience swelling and minor bruising of the area after dimples surgery. These side effects will generally dissipate within 48 hours of having the procedure performed, and are usually quite mild. It is important to speak to the surgeon if you have more than mild discomfort or lingering side effects that you are unsure about.

If you have always envied the look of dimples, this type of procedure may be able to give you just what you are after. Dimples procedures are becoming more and more popular as people realize how easy it is to get the look of natural dimples. As with any plastic or cosmetic surgery, find a doctor that has great reviews, years of experience and all of the training necessary. Make sure to look at their before and after pictures of previous dimples surgeries as well.
