Dr. Onir Spiegel

I had Botox and filler with Dr Onir. I wasn't ready for a full facelift and hoped I could find something that could tide me over. I've never had anything done to my face and I was nervous. I know Onir is one of the preeminent injectors for the Boston area so I went to see her. I am so happy and it's not even 24 hours yet. I just know as time goes on and it all settles in it's just going to look even better! It was not nearly as scary or painful as I expected. If you are in the fence just do it! I was worried I'd look all crazy but NOPE I look like I went to sleep for 5 years and woke up refreshed..just what I always hoped for.

Originally I made an appointment with Dr. Onir Spiegel to go in and talk about having some scar revision done. When meeting with her she asked me exactly what I was looking for and we discussed some concerns of mine in regards to having a surgery done on an old scar which is on my face. The biggest thing for me was the fact I am in sales and did not want to have stitches in my face again to try to minimize the appearance of this scar. She then suggested trying micro needling. At the time I did not know exactly what micro needling was so she explained the procedure and that it would help stimulate collagen and elastin production which is what happens when your skin heals. This in turn helps minimize the appearance of a scar along with minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I went in for 4 treatments over a period of 6-7months. I could not be happier with the result. I had my whole face done and my skin looks beautiful. I get compliments on it all the time. My scar is very hard to see also which is exactly the result I wanted. For me there was no downtime on this. I was able to cover up any redness with makeup the next day and after 3-4 days my face was completely back to normal as far as coloring goes. Not only was Dr. Onir wonderful but the office staff was outstanding. They helped me with getting products to help my skin heal which they carry right in their office. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't thank them all enough!

My experience with The Spiegel Center has been extremely comfortable and amazing. I had voice feminization surgery there back in January and the results just a month later are incredible! The staff has been incredibly nice and caring with me before and after my procedure. My patient care coordinator is Uzma and she is incredible! She responds promptly if you ever need anything, she is incredibly nice and truly cares about me and I’m sure all of her patients she takes care of :). Dr. Spiegel answered every question I had about the procedure and of course did an excellent job, he also has great bedside manner he checked in with me before and after my surgery. We also just had a follow-up to make sure everything was healing well. I remember being nervous because surgery in general is scary. While I was laying on the operating table before I was put to sleep one of the nurses held me until I passed out to comfort me which meant the world to me. Love you guys ❤️ I’m so happy I made the decision to go here :).

I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars because our experience was most accurately 4.5 stars. My wife had VFS in summer of 2024 and our experience overall was excellent. There are three main sides I would categorize here: the surgical, the office, and billing. First and foremost: The surgery and surgical team was superb. The whole process, especially discussions about risks, results, and recovery were honest and accurate. Our care coordinator Uzma was diligent and communicative over the months long process before and after surgery. The times when she was unavailable or there was a roadblock on their side it was resolved within hours or a couple days which is refreshing. Juliana, one of their care specialists was also a great conversation just ahead of surgery. The facility was clean and comfortable and we felt we were in safe and competent hands. Most importantly my wife was quite satisfied with the results of a complex and not always easy to predict procedure. The front office was lovely and communicative and always able to steer us in the right direction. The only downsides was with their third party biller (surprise surprise, issues with insurance). Let me first say we were extremely grateful for their office and billers willingness to come to an agreement with our insurer and overall they were pretty great. Unfortunately some errors were made in some of the submissions made by the biller after the procedure which caused about 3 months of delay for the significant deposit refund. I will also note Uzma and the team were transparent about these roadblocks up front (when we discussed the insurance process and asked questions), and in hindsight our months long delay may be on the short side. If you are out of network prepare for 6 months or more for not getting the deposit back until it is resolved with insurance and plan accordingly. Ultimately I've landed on 5 stars, truly 4.5 stars. The surgery, the lead up, procedure, and follow-up were handled great and I recommend The Spiegel Center for VFS and trach shave.

The overwhelming impression I got of Dr. Spiegel immediately upon meeting him was a quiet confidence and kind demeanor. He was not arrogant or pushy, but instead calm and caring. He was certain that he could give me a great result and I felt much of my anxiety disappear. He listened to my concerns and was very easy to talk to. My surgical coordinator Uzma was so kind and sweet throughout the process even post operatively answering questions and accommodating my request to have a FaceTime with a staff surgeon who helped me with some recovery tips. I’m also very happy that Dr. Spiegel continues to follow-up for at least a year with in person appointments to monitor my progress and address any issues that may arise. I can not recommend Dr. Spiegel and his staff enough and I absolutely know I made the right choice! I love my result and am excited to see it after full recovery!

I never write reviews but I'm making the time to write one for the Spiegel Center because I cannot get over how fantastic my experience has been with them. I had septoplasty/rhinoplasty done elsewhere in early 2022 and wasn't happy with the results - my nose was asymmetrical, and one nostril looked much smaller than the other, as too much cartilage had been removed. I then came to the Spiegel Center for a liquid rhino consult, with the hope of correcting these issues. I met with Dr. Onir who was fantastic and explained what liquid rhino could and could not do, and we decided it was best for me to also see Dr. Spiegel. He did an in-office procedure and used a small amount of cartilage from behind my ear to rebuild the areas where it was missing in my nose. I'm 1 week out from the procedure and I'm completely blown away and could not be any happier! My nostrils are somehow symmetrical, and the areas that needed more cartilage are filled out. I look like myself again but with a much better nose! Dr. Spiegel is incredibly skilled and talented, and I highly recommend him. As a bonus he's also kind, funny and personable. I wish I had come here for my initial septoplasty/rhinoplasty procedure. Additionally, the entire staff is lovely. Eleanor, my surgical coordinator is amazing - she's warm, organized and easy to work with. For my 1 week follow-up appointment, she accommodated my schedule, and I was seen by Dr. Tower as Dr. Spiegel was in surgery that day. He was also excellent. My whole experience has been fantastic, and I highly recommend the Spiegel Center!

Dr. Spiegel and his team provided optimum care and results for my rhinoplasty revision. His diagnosis and treatment plan were very specific and validated what I suspected was off in the look and function of my nose. He took the time and care to explain how he would approach the surgery. Three times in fact! The last being the day of my surgery. That extra step just reinforcing and explaining the changes I could expect was of great comfort right before I went out under anesthesia. Post op I've healed rapidly, only needing minimal concealer just 10 days post op! My follow-up appts have been really valuable with Dr Spiegel explaining that I am in the 'molding clay' stage and will be for sometime, giving me specific massaging techniques to maintain the shape while the cartilage sets. So valuable! The other valuable component was my patient coordinator Uzma Husain. She guided me the whole way through. The clincher statement she gave me (I'll never forget it) was Dr. Spiegel will be able to go in and fix that collapsed side for you Wyth. That meant the world to me! Plus she kept checking in on me and continues to do so! I had a concern 1 day post op (probably from coming off anesthesia) and also most likely some PTSD from my original rhinoplasty from another surgeon in a totally different and unrelated facility. I emailed Uzma at 7pm that night and sent her pictures. Within an hour she had shared them with Dr. Spiegel and contacted me back. Her words were, 'Dr. Spiegel says not to worry you are right on track. Absolutely contact me on Monday and we can address any concerns you have Wyth.' That was Friday, by Saturday morning swelling had changed and I could see Dr. Spiegel had restored symmetry to my nose! He's brilliant!!! Yes it was surprisingly emotional for me. The nose is the center piece of your face. But wow! What a comfort that Uzma was THAT dialed in to my wellbeing and healing. Having a patient coordinator like Uzma is so incredibly valuable! It just makes the whole process run smooth. You can tell she has a close and consistent dialogue with Dr. Spiegel. Again it's a great comfort to know Dr. Spiegel has support behind him like this allowing him to focus on creating the brilliant results he does. Uzma along with everyone at The Spiegel Center are so passionate about patient care.
